Top Holiday Destinations Around The World
What would you do if someone gave you millions of dollars? Buy a mansion, Rolls Royce, a private beach and lots of designer clothes? I’d do none of this. Yep –I have better plans up my sleeve. I’d simply take a world tour. I’ve already decided that I’m going to spend my life savings on seeing the world. I’m going to share with you the top holiday destinations around the world.
Barcelona
If you are a sucker for art, architecture and culture like me, then you cannot miss going to Barcelona. Most people go to Spain for a holiday, but for some stupid reason don’t end up going to Barcelona! Soak in Gaudi’s world famous Parc Güell, Casa Milà and Casa Batlló. Visit the Picasso Museum and Passeig de Gràcia and spend hours and hours looking at the beautiful architecture of the city. And if you’re a foodie, you’re going to have a joy ride with all the frittatas and tapas. I strongly recommend you visit this Mediterranean metropolis of beauty.
Prague
I’ve seen the beautiful city of Prague as the backdrop for a lot of movies and I’ve always been mesmerized. Imagine what it would be like to see it for real. It’s the largest city of the Czech Republic, located on the banks of the Vltava River. Do you love fairy tale holidays? Well, then your search ends at Prague. Be ready to go around town on your two feet to thoroughly enjoy all the small surprises that this superb holiday destination can throw up. Did you know that the entire central area of the city has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site? Now who wouldn’t want to bask in the glory of such a city!
Morocco
The words that come to my mind when I think of Morocco are ‘exotic’ and ‘hookah’! If you’re looking for an Arabic flavoured holiday replete with harem pants, belly dancers, smoke rings, cost tents and camel rides, Marrakech in Morocco is the place for you. Whether you’re planning a holiday with friends or family, you’re going to have an unforgettable blast. There’s going to be something for everyone to do. Be ready for a bombardment to your senses. There’s an eclectic mix of art galleries, jeweller’s souks, hole-in-the-wall shops selling everything from local ‘thuya’ woodworks and oil-based products to unusual surfing apparel and handmade leather goods. Whilst you are busy shopping, your husband and kids can go gallivanting to breathe in some of Morocco’s natural splendours. How exciting is it going to be to hire a camel and trek through the Sahara? It’s a once in a lifetime experience ladies! Add one more UNESCO World Heritage city to your palette.
Seoul
Does a thriving, buzzing, populated, technically snazzy environment pump your adrenaline? If yes, then what are you waiting for? You’ve got to take a flight to Seoul. Most people remember Seoul as the host of the 2002 Soccer World Cup. Seoul is literally divided into two halves – one represents its ancient glorious past and the other, its modern contemporary present and future. Seoul looks and feels like a futuristic city – giant skyscrapers, video parlor booths, zany nightlife, innumerable street eating places, 24×7 open markets and much more. Would you like exploring the local culture and go beyond just the usual sightseeing? Then hop across town to see typical Korean post war settlements. They’re so cute!
Ladakh, India
Fancy a peaceful, calm, serene holiday destination? Ever thought of taking a summer vacation to Leh and Ladakh? It’s not going to be freezing cold if you pick summer months to visit. Take in the magnificence of the famous Himalayan mountain range. Wouldn’t you love to explore the Buddhist culture and see the changing colors of the sky from morning to evening? If you want to see the reality behind the pretty scenic Christmas postcards you receive every year, then Ladakh is a must see holiday destination for you. Visit the picturesque Nubra Valley, Zanskar Valley and Pangong Lake. Trust me, it’s a larger than life experience to see Mother Nature in its full glory.
New Zealand
There is a reason many call it heaven on earth – New Zealand. I haven’t seen any other place so exquisitely beautiful that can literally take your breath away. Not just because Lord of the Rings was shot there, but there’s lots more to see and do. Visit the Bay of Islands, renowned for having 144 islands with superb white sand beaches, secluded romantic bays and abundant marine life. New Zealand’s natural wildlife sanctuaries, parks, natural geysers, steaming hot pools, mud pools and lakes make it a great exotic holiday destination. Are you a fan of adventure sports? Then you’re never going to get bored in New Zealand. Send the kids off to the Dunedin chocolate factory while you get some windsurfing action!
I wouldn’t be surprised at all if you’ve already started looking up air tickets and hotel accommodations at these places. After all, who doesn’t want to be a globe trotter?
