The top 25 places to visit in Spain have been voted for by the travel review website TripAdvisor, with Andalucia claiming the top two spots and having a total of 5 entries on the list with Granada , Seville, Tarifa, Almeria and Ronda.

The ‘Travelers’ Choice Destinations Awards’ includes the best destinations or cities in the world and Europe as voted for by thousands of tourists. Granada finished first in Spain, followed by Seville, Santiago de Compostela, Barcelona, Ibiza, Cadaqués, San Sebastián, Tarifa, Tossa de Mar, Formentera, Puerto Mogan, Javea, Fuerteventura, Oviedo, Palma de Mallorca, Santander, Ciudadela, Astorga, Valencia, Almeria, Salamanca, Bilbao, O Grove, Gijón and Ronda.

Top placed Granada is also considered to be the 14th most desirable location in the world, and the sixth best in Europe, with Seville being 17th in Europe. Other cities were highly praised in various sub-categories, such as Barcelona being the sixth ranked city in Europe for nightlife, or Palma de Mallorca, Salou, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Fuerteventura and Maspalomas all being recommended as cities to visit with the family. Formentera was highly voted as a destination for those seeking sun and sand, along with Sitges and Fuerteventura, while good wine and gastronomy can be found in San Sebastian.
